A beautiful story. I've always been enamoured of accounts of these imaginal pilgrimages recommended to those unable to commit to the real thing. Its a really fascinating mystical exercise as well as being a humane recognition of people's differing means and abilities on the part of the clergy even in the early Modern period

Oh wow. What a wild and wonderful story. I love the way she made her pilgrimage where she was, making a virtue of necessity. And the grace she was given to accompany the pilgrim spiritually.
Such a wonderful story. I changed the title after I published and took out "Legend." Thurston is a skeptic on most things and de Brito is a good source, and both seem to accept it, so I like the odds of it being true.
