Is there any basis in the tradition for the belief that Lazarus is immortal, found in Canticle for Leibowitz? I don't know if Miller was basing that off of something or if he just made it up
I always tell people that, because Jesus raised him from the dead, Lazarus did not die again. He now runs an appliance shop in Queens. The line is always good for a laugh. I had an idea for a story about a superhero team, made up of people Jesus healed, giving them super powers. Jesus heals your sight? You get x-ray vision! Super hearing! Can’t be killed! What a team!
